Vonitsanou Irini was raised at Platystoma, Lefkada where she resides. She graduated from the Department of Social Administration within Democritus University of Thrace and has a master’s degree in Special Education. She is a social worker at the Center for Special Education and Family Support of Lefkada (Κ.Ε.Σ.Υ.). She wrote articles for newspapers and co-ran the website “My Lefkada”. In addition, she has received honorary distinctions in national literature competitions.
Since September 2011 she is the president of the Cultural Association of Platystoma, “The Red Church”, and as of fall 2013 she is the secretary of the Association of Special Education Specialist of the Ionian Islands Region.
